The Lloyd Gymnasium Bremerhaven is the only school in Bremerhaven, where you can visit class 5 to 9 and also the higher classes, ´til the graduation. In Germany there are lot more of consistentlies school, but in Bremerhaven the Lloyd Gymnasium is the only one!

Because our teachers work in the classes 5 to 9 and in the preperation to the graduation, the pupils can be prepared in the best way for their certificate.

The school at our school starts with the 5th class. The certificate is at the 12th class.

Beginning in the 5th class, the pupil´s time with classmates lasts to the 10th class. The course system is in class 11 and 12.

Since 1995 we provide our pupils the bilingual way of learning.

Bilingual lessons at our school mean that during the pupils´ school time they use two languages in school, whereby the pupils learn to use the English language in an uninhibited way.

One aim of the bilingual lessons is to teach the pupils an intercultural, connected and connecting way of thinking. They also will receive the ability of study and career. To get this the lessons contain fold contentinental arrangements and requirements.

The bilingual lessons at the so called "Sekundarstufe I" has lots of contents to let the pupils be prepared for the "Oberstufe". The education plan has become within school matched. To save quality we have an will develop teaching material.

In comparison to the linguistic lessons the number of lessons is reduced: The number of lessons in science is about 20 hours per week.

Mathematic-Natural Class

Since the school year 2011/12 we added a class with the main focus on Mathematics and Nactural Science. The pupils in this class have four lessons per week (year 5 and 6) and in the years 7 to 9 the three natural science-lessons should be tought two hours during a week.

To introduce this special class, it´s necessary that their are enough registrations. On the other hand, we cannot guarantee that all registrations for the class cannot be considered.

Registration

If your daughter/son has been ordered to the Lloyd Gymnasium, you will receive a letter, in which we are asking for your wishes of our mathematic-natural science class or the second foreign language. The first day after the summer vacation, we will inform you, whether your wishes could be considered or not.
